Step in to Ned Kelly’s shoes at the Old Melbourne Gaol

The Melbourne Gaol is an iconic landmark and is the site for 135 hangings including the infamous Ned Kelly the bushranger and Squizzy Taylor the famously notorious gangster. This year in commemoration on his 131st death anniversary a dinner is being offered on Thursday evening, 10th November on the gallows ground as the exact spot where he took his last breath. Ned Kelly’s last words were ‘Such is life’ and his last meal was known to be ‘roast lamb, peas and a bottle of claret’. A short reenactment called ‘Such is life’ will be conducted for the attendees and a similar 3 course dinner will be served. Special lucky draws will be conducted and the winner will get the chance to take some of the history home. Special guest speaker will be Associate Professor, David Ransom who was the scientific project leader who oversaw the Ned Kelly case. Dinner timings are between 6:30pm and 9:00pm and ticket costs are $130AUD.
