Also the viewing of the show is free from any location on the Boardwalk and beach but to get premium seats and join on the special lunches you will need to pay. However all boating activities will be closed during the time of the show due to security reasons and the water will be declared a ‘no boating zone’ except for the Coast Guard and other Police Boats but as soon as the show is over you can take any kind of boat ride you want.

The timings of the show are from 1000 to 1700 hours and we recommend bringing your own sunscreen, snack and bottled water, and be sure to wear sun glasses and light clothing as it does tend to get pretty hot during the sunny August afternoons. Bring along cameras and binoculars for better views and ear plugs if you have small children with you. If you plan to sit on the beach then hats and umbrellas are as important as your bathing suits. Make sure you have access to the radio to listen to the live Atlantic City Air show broadcast from the Boardwalk to remain informed of what all is going on around you at AM 1400 WOND and Lite Rock 96.9 WFPG.
Plan your trip as this is an experience of a life time and worth the watch. Atlantic City itself offers so many activities and entertainment with unique restaurants and casinos but this special event is like no other and truly is aptly titled: “Thunder Over the Boardwalk”.
